Creating A New Website - Tips2/22/2024 If you are putting together your first, or tenth website, check out these tips! Okay, it's time to set up your face on the internet with a brand new (or improved) website. I found this site amazingly helpful as I update my websites and work to improve my online presence. If you need some help getting your website all polished up and ready to face the world, consider these vital tips:
1) Create a website you'd spend more time lurking on than your favorite SM (Social Media). * If you spend hours on X (formerly Twitter) or Meta (formerly FaceBook) each day, create a website where you'd find all the things you enjoy doing and seeing on those platforms. 2) Do as much creating for yourself as possible. * Building your own website gives you real-world experience doing something that may not come naturally to you, but it can open your mind to the endless possibilities to expand your presence on-line and save you tons of money. 3) Maintain your optimism and curiosity. * Nothing drives people away faster than a perpetually bad attitude and an unwillingness to try new things. Check your temper at the door of website creating because the process may very well frustrate and annoy you. It is in these moments that you must only step away and re-focus on your goal in having a website and the benefits you will enjoy when you've completed the tasks that you find most challenging. Keep your chin up! A helpful Checklist you can use to ensure your success: 1) Is your content interesting and informative on every website page? 2) Is your layout straightforward and easy enough for your youngest and oldest relatives to access, use and enjoy? 3) Have you put in the proper metadata and submitted your site to search engines so your website can be found easily? 4) Do you have enough coffee and chocolate to see you through the nerves and excitement of telling strangers, your friends and family (if you have any) about your new adventure? Final Thought: Do focus on having as much fun as possible with your website building adventures. Try to resist the urge to make the process your new "job". And never forget that you can help others create their websites even while you are slaving away at creating yours. Please share your websites with me when you've published! Princess Gets New Boots Video2/12/2019 For romping pain-free in the snow, Princess Polkadot required new boots. So, I made her some using some sturdy but soft orange fleece (to match the sweater I made her last year), hot glue (for creating the boot tread) and some Velcro strips covered with a purple polkadot fabric for a finished look. Here's how she reacted when her booted feet hit the snow, yesterday... * Dogs may not need boots for warmth, but they are quite a cute way to prevent snow from becoming painfully packed between the pads of their precious little paws.
I hope you are all having a lovely white winter and using the extra house-bound time (if you are so fortunate as to be in snow globe land) to create something new, write something amazing, or read something most excellent! Happy Reading, Amy YouTube Truckers Bring Back Memories1/25/2019 Good Snow-packed January morning to you all!
I've been watching too many trucker videos on Youube lately. How do I know? Because my head is absolutely jam packed with memories of growing up and hearing how vital and precious these drivers are. Does anyone else recall hearing these rules of the road regarding truckers: 1) Give them the right of way 'cause you never know what they're seeing up the road (or hearing on their cb radio) that you can't because you're in a lower profile vehicle listening to your favorite song. 2) Don't hang them out to dry when they try to pass you. If you force them to break the sound barrier to get around you and they lose control because you pushed your pedal a little harder when you saw him/her coming, they could wreck and kill everyone around you, and your family will have those memories to share for the rest of your life. 3) Flash your headlights when their trailer is clear of your car by a car length. (If you're dealing with a pro, he/she will flash their trailer lights right back atcha to let you know they thank you.) Why? Because that's an awful lot of steel coming across the front half of your car if they misgauge the distance looking in their side-view mirrors. 4) Never ever cut off a semi truck on the road. Why, because your life will then depend on his/her ability to prevent you from becoming his/her new hood ornament. 5) Go out of your way to be kind and respectful to truck drivers. Why? Well, because there's a heck of a lot of them who are military veterans! (My uncle also stressed the importance of having a cb radio in your vehicle if you're traveling, so a handheld cb radio was my first independent purchase at 18 years old - saved my life a few times on the highways. Thanks Uncle Charles!) Remote Monkey Ownership1/18/2019 I have always dreamed of having my very own monkey, but that's just not a possibility right now so I've discovered an alternative monkey ownership opportunity on YouTube. If you need a break or simply adore monkeys as I do, check out Monkey Boo: I hope you all have a wonderful day!
